I like it alright with a French or quasi-French pronunciation (awn-ree-ET). It's kind of pretty that way. But Henriette has "hen" in it and just really sounds like "a girl who would have been Henry if she'd been a boy" to me. Henry-ette. Without the French pronunciation, I think Henriette is not a good alternative to Charlotte. With it, maybe it would be. But Henrietta "Henry-etta" is well known enough, that it might seem as strange to pronounce Henriette "awn-ree-ET" as it would to pronounce Charlotte with a hard CH like English Charles.- mirfak
