You'd have to go right back to Sanskrit - the common origin of all the languages you are considering. Why would the Welsh not have a word of their own for the sun, even if it doesn't appear very often in Wales? They'd have to borrow words for concepts they'd never developed or things they'd never seen - ideas from Roman and Christian religions, for instance, or, more recently, foods like pizza. Having said that, it looks convincing but I don't know. Will try to find out this evening and get back to ou.
