Message: "Leigh?" - Behind the Name

Is Leigh more commonly male or female? My brother has to send an e-mail to someone with this name, and he's very concerned that he might incorrectly guess this person's gender... it's a formal e-mail and he can't escape using 'ms' or 'mr'. Anyone want to help him hazard a guess?

I've heard it on more girls then boys so i think its a more girly name.

Chances are it's a woman. And if he by chance gets it wrong, the recipient will be used to it, I'm sure! :-)

I concider Leigh for being female, and Lee for being male. Even though both are Unisex. But that's what I feel is right.
