As a Finn, this name sounds pretty good to my ear. The double A is common in Finnish, so it doesn't sound strange to us. I understand this name might be strange to non-Finnish people, but in Finland it's okay. I don't immediately associate it with the particular German guy, either.Overall, Aadolf is a strong, classic name, but there are much better ones, too. This is just my opinion, though.
"I can imagine anti Americans using it" America is NOT the center of the universe. Also they were not the only people who were hurt in ww2 what about the entire world?
I am Jewish and I love the name Adolf Germanic and German names in general. I don't get when people are mad because people are using names that guess what? Also bad people used them.
Why do people hate the name Adolf, why is no one is talking about Josef? We have Josef Stalin (who was cruel to his wife and children), Joseph Gobbles and Josef Mengele. But people are still using the name Josef.
Names are part of a culture and history that we need to save.
Then how we will have good people named Adolf if we won't use this name?
The two "a"'s does NOT make it better than Adolf. I HATE, HATE, Adolf because of, ummm, that guy, but this is despicable! Hate names with two "a"'s!
The double a doesn’t bother me. I like Adolf and Aadolf.
Okay for Finns but I like Adolf much much better.
Adolf is OK. But Aadolf? I mean what?
I can imagine anti Americans use this.
Nice with the two A's, overall sounds nicer. Nice controversy.
Unless you know you're giving birth to a Finnish Hitler, then don't use this name, it's awful.
