The correct pronunciation of the name Abegail is ah-beh-GAIL.

"Abegail Anne" is the first track on the album Return of the Frog Queen, sung by Jeremy Enigk while on hiatus from his post as singer of Sunny Day Real Estate.

This is confusing, I know so many girls who would be confused by Abegail. I much prefer Abigail.

I'm Mexican-American, and I have never heard of this form of Abigail. In Spanish we use Abigail. (Like someone else said, pronounced Ah-bee-gah-eel.) Maybe that's just in my family though, and Abegail is used in Spanish?

It looks like Abe (as in Abe Lincoln) & Gale. "Abe-Gail." I don't like it at all.
