It personally looks imbalanced compared to Annabel or Annabelle. Anabel would be fine, but keeping 3-letter Ana and adding -Belle to it doesn’t look balanced.
Love it! Sounds sweet, gentle, and harmless! Also better than Annabel!
We should bring this name back! It's super pretty and I have no clue how it hasn't been a popular name kind of like Charlotte!
My name is Anabelle (ann-uh-bell) and most people that meet me compliment my name. I think it's a beautiful name but it gets really annoying when I'm compared to the Annabelle movie/doll. Also, no one ever can spell my name right (most people write Annabell, Annabelle, Anabell, Anabel, Annabel, Anebelle, Anebell, etc). I did some research and the name Anabelle means mother, lovable, and beautiful. I think those words describe me pretty well and are an accurate representation of me. If you're looking for a unique baby name, this is a great mane to use (just ignore the fact that they will never find an item at a gift shop that has their name with the right spelling). I also think the names Analeah, Analee, and Anastasia would be cool. Also, I am Nigerian, Spanish/Portuguese, Swiss, Mexican, English, and native if anyone was wondering, haha.
Anabelle is a great name and you should name all your children Anabelle. The only downside is that, with this spelling, they always spell your name wrong at Starbucks.
The name Anabelle was given to 348 girls born in the US in 2016.
