I was so disappointed when I found out how popular Ariel was as a name, and then I found this jewel of a name which sounds much nicer too in my opinion, strong and meaningful. Ah-ra-LEE is the proper pronunciation, but ah-RAY-lee also sounds nice. A-ree-lee sounds like 'oh really?' so I won't be saying it like that.

This is my sister-in-law's name. She pronounces it uh-REL-ee with a rolled "r."
