The river Arun runs in West Sussex starting at Horsham and ending at Littlehampton. I was brought up near the Arun so I am going to call my first born son Arun.

According to a reliable Cambodian name site I know, this in Khmer means "morning sun".

CamilletheGreat is right, this name means "morning star" or "dawn" in Khmer, Thai, and a few others.

I think it is a surname of a clan of witches in Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' books, they're also part vampire.

I know some Gaelic and this makes me think of "a rúin", which is the vocative version of "rún", a term of endearment (literally meaning "secret").
