Athena reached the Italian Top200 of most popular names for newborns in 2020 when it was ranked #200. The next year (2021) it was out being ranked #201.
To those (if indeed there are more than one) who insist that the name is Anglicised as "Athina," not "Athena": it's the same name, whatever the spelling! In Greek, it is spelled with an eta rather than a iota, so it actually makes more sense to transliterate it with an e than with an i. It doesn't matter, however. The point is that neither spelling is engraved in stone.
In 2018, 3 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Athena who is registered female with the Social Security Administration. It is the 1, 489th most common female first name for living U.S. citizens.
