Personal Impression
I've loved it ever since I read it in a story years ago. Much better than Ava or Avery for a young girl.

This is a super cute name, but I'm not sure what is the correct pronunciation, since I've heard quite a few different ways to do it. Either way, all of the different pronunciations of this name that I've heard are absolutely lovely.

I can read Hindi and the thing about Hindi is words are pronounced exactly how they're spelt. In this case, there is a strong emphasis on first syllable (the "a") and the last one (the 'ni"). It (the spelling of the word) would be pronounced ahv-ni, the "v" has very little sound.

It is not pronounced a-vah-ni or ava-ni. As a Hindi speaker (from Uttar Pradesh) I would not pronounce it oh-nee, not entire wrong but there is definitely a slight v sound.

On a side note, I have seen this name spelt Avni. I hope that helps :)

Pronounced "OH-NEE".

I think it's a very pretty name for females, real unique. A rather corny but cute idea for twins could be Avani and Terra, which both mean "earth".

This is my name and I love it. It's weird I have a feminine name seeing as how I'm a dude. It's unique and I'm honored to hold it.

I love my name but I spelled it a different way because everybody pronounced it weirdly.
