This is also a boy's name coming from the surname Cass, which was an occupational surname given to a maker of boxes (case = cass).

I think that Cass sounds more like a boy's name than a girl's name. It sounds as though it should be predominantly used as a short form of Cassius.

Cass, to me, sounds like good name for boys and girls alike.

I get the impression of a villain when I hear the name.

A nice name! I am using this name for a tough girl character because it doesn't sound girly or silly a at all.

I like this as a nickname for a boy or a girl. It would be great for a girl if her name is Cassandra or Cassidy, great for a boy if his name is Casper. I don't know why those names aren't more popular. They sound nice and come with this awesome nickname.

My name is Cassidy and I love going by Cass, like Trixie Belden [the book series character] goes by Trixie though her real name is Beatrix.

I think Cass is a great name for a guy, but I like it without the extra s, like Cas. It's cute, but sometimes I think it's missing something....
