Christa Worthington (December 23, 1956-January 6, 2002) was a United States fashion writer who worked for Women’s Wear Daily, Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Harlan Bazaar, and the New York Times. She was the co-author of several books on fashion and formerly dated Stan Stokowski, the oldest son of Gloria Vanderbilt and Leopold Stokowski. Worthington was stabbed to death in her home in Truro, Massachusetts (on Cape Cod). Her body was found on January 6, 2002, with her two-year old daughter, Ava, clinging to it, the child was unharmed.
I like it. But I like the Krista spelling better. I love Krista. I would use it if my uncle didn't marry a girl named Krista. She's a lovely woman but not related to me so I probably wouldn't name a kid after her even though we are very close.

Christa is a woman in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead video game season 1.
I think it sounds awkward and incomplete. Christina is already a shortened form of Christiana, so Christa is a shortened, shortened form, which is too short for my taste. On the plus side, it sounds fresh, like ice crackling in sparkling lemonade on a hot day. I knew a Christa. She was nice, if a little ditzy. Still, if you want a really cute name, go with Christabel.
