Sorry, but the first thing that came into my head when I saw this name was, "Crispy".

Crispian is not the medieval form of Crispin. Rather, it is a short form (and modern English form) of Crispianus. For more information on Crispianus, see the Submitted Names Database.

This is a rather odd, archaic version of Crispin, although I don't dislike it, and it sounds a bit like the name Christian. :)

You might as well just name your child Christian as they look very similar. Also I don't think anyone is going to want Crispy as their nickname.
