Really beautiful and unique as a name for a fictional character. Not sure about naming a real person this though.
Only works for the fictional character it was created for. Otherwise, it sounds ridiculous.
Might be of Welsh origins composed of the names "Dai" and "Nêr" meaning "beloved Lord". Or possibly could a play on the word "day" plus the "nerys" taken to mean "lady who shines or burns".
