Suson was assigned as the commander of a 14-man Philippine Constabulary detachment in Gamay, Northern Samar on 31 October 1980 when they came under attack from approximately 300 New People's Army rebels. Suson and all his men were wounded.
Desiderio Medina Saravia (1919 – 1986) was a Chilean footballer. He played in twelve matches for the Chile national football team from 1941 to 1946. He was also part of Chile's squad for the 1941 South American Championship.
Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin (1922 – 2007) was a Mexican artist best known for his large-scale mural work inside the State Government Palace in the state of Tlaxcala, Mexico, the last large scale mural of the Mexican muralism movement.
To me, Desiderio sounds a little too much like a character in a romance novel. I prefer Desiderius.
Desiderio is the given name of Desi Arnaz.
