Comments for the name Dominica

I vastly prefer the name "Domenica", which is the Italian feminine form of Dominic. To me, Domenica is more musical and the "e" is a nice touch; but anyway, I think Dominica is gorgeous too.

It's pronounced də-MIN-i-kə. Cute nicknames would be Minnie or Mickey (ha ha!), Minka, Dom, Nic, even Domino. : )

An island in the Caribbean isn called Dominica and is pronounced dom-ih-NEE-kah as opposed to another island, the Dominican Republic, which is pronounced doh-MI-nikah.
