I love this name because of Drake Carne from Poldark - however, I don't think I would use it in real life because people would probably think it was after the celebrities who bear/use the name (which couldn't be further from the truth).
I can only think of Drake the rapper when I hear this name.

Drake is a cool name because it means "dragon". Also my bf's name is Drake so that is another reason I like the name Drake. Also Drake can be a male duck too.

Drake is a famous rapper but in my personal opinion I don't think you should name your child this because someone might not like Drake and they will get bullied for it.

My name is Drake and my uncle always calls me "Dwake." It's really annoying! Also, I think the meaning Dragon is better than the meaning Male Duck.
I think Drake would make a really cute and unique girl's name too. But I wouldn’t name a girl Drake unless I made her middle name feminine. I like Drake Alexandra and Drake Tiana. I like it for a boy too, and I actually think it’s better for a boy but it’s equally cute for a girl too, I think!
Two famous bearers are actor Drake Bell and rapper Drake. Interestingly enough, neither of their first names are actually Drake (Drake is their middle name) and they were both born in 1986.
I named my son "Drake Dee Emmanuel _____" I'm super proud of this name and a lot of people think it's brilliant because so many people have heard this awesome name but not many people have ever met somebody with this name!
Drake is such a cool, hot name for a guy! The meaning "dragon" is so badass! I love this awesome name! :D.

I LOVE this name! Mainly because it means dragon (as you know, I'm milkweedDRAGON), but I didn't know it also meant male duck. It sounds nice to me, and it actually seems to be quite popular. I think it's better off meaning "Dragon".
This is my son's name and his name has never been referred to a "duck" only a Dragon or Drake the Vampire from the Blade movie. His middle name is Logan for those who need a good middle name. Kids at school LOVE his name and I do too.
I really like how this name looks and sounds, but I would never use it because of its meaning. I mean come on, a male duck! Who would want to be named after that? Yes, I know "Drake" is also derived from "dragon", but still it also means a male duck.
A fictional bearer of the name is the crazy psychopath and secondary villain from Michael Grant's book series, "Gone".Still a good name, I think. The books aren't that popular.
Drake seems a bit early 2000's - perhaps because I associate it with the television show Drake & Josh. It used to appeal to me more; though I don't adore it, I feel that it has a place to be used.
Aubrey Drake Graham is a Jewish-Canadian actor who starred as Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation but is now widely known as the songwriter, rapper, and singer Drake.
I named my son Drake and it suits him perfectly. I know one meaning is "male duck" but the meaning "dragon" makes it very very cool. I did have a hard time finding a good middle name to go with it.
