I don’t even like the name in general, but I much prefer Ian.

This is my son's name. It is pronounced exactly the way it looks EE-an, same pronunciation as Ian. I have always loved the name, but hadn't seen it spelled with an "E" before I became pregnant. When I stumbled upon this spelling in a baby names book I fell in love. Especially since Ian the traditional spelling also happens to be my husbands middle name:)

Well, the pronunciation isn't that far off of Ian, which is fantastic. I prefer this spelling. I might actually consider naming a child this now.
