This name is very pretty, seems like a variant form of the name Emilia.
Emiliana Perfetti (known as Geraldine Royer in the Japanese translation) is a criminal analyst and Katrielle's friend and rival in the video game Layton's Mystery Journey, and anime Layton Mystery Detective Agency. She is also one of the few characters of color in the Layton series.
It's pronounced like Emiliano, but with an a at the end instead of an o. It is not pronounced like Emily + Ana. I have a daughter with this name, and have received nothing but compliments. The adjectives I've gotten most often are unique, fun, upper class, refined, different without being weird, and Old World. Emiliana Torrington and Emiliana Cantone are both singers with this name. There is also St. Emiliana.

Emiliana is the feminine form of Italian/Spanish Emiliano, of which, has come to mean "Rival."
This name is so beautiful! It would make a lovely alternative to Emily and Emma.
This is an alternate version of "Emilia", itself a variation of "Amelia" -- which has a Latin root like "ameliorate": to make things better.
As said it is pronounced e-mee-LYAH-nah so IT IS NOT LIKE EMILY AND ANA as that would be emil-e-anna which just sounds plain wrong.
It's like Emily and Ana--two of my favorite names--combined! =D
Emiliana Torrini is a famouse bearer. She is a singer, lovely voice.
I think Emiliana is one of the "best kept secrets" of names. It's incredibly rare but has so much class and doesn't strike you as being strange or odd.
