This is like the Esperanto form of the name "Esperanza", right?
No offense to anyone with/considering using this name... but to me, it's like Esperanto-movado propaganda in the form of a baby name.Which I know is stupid. But that's what it sounds like to me.
In Esperanto, this is the participial form of the verb "esperi," to hope. Dr. Zamenhof, who designed the language, used the pen name "Esperanto" when he first published his international language. To European ears, ending the word in -A lends the word a feminine sound, perfect for a girl's name.
