Floortje is actually not the Dutch from of Flora. It's a diminutive of Floor which in it's turn is a short form of Flora (female) or Floris (male). [noted -ed]

This name really can be a Dutch diminutive of Flora. Though I prefer the name Floris. Like many other Dutch cats, mine cat is named Floortje. I use Floor as a pet name.
