Gambit is the 'mutant' name of the comic book character Remy LeBeau, a member of Marvel's X-Men and King of the Thieve's Guild. He is frequently called both Remy and Gambit, with Gambit being more commonly used by those who don't know him as well, and by teammates while on a mission.
