It is the fifth disguise of Olaf [in the Lemony Snicket books], please, but I am real Gunther, please.

Gunther was a character in sitcom Friends. He was the manager of the Central Perk coffeehouse, where the six main characters always hung out.

Gunther is the name of a nerdy high school student in the comic strip Luann.

Pronounced GUWN-ter. [noted -ed]

This doesn't hold much relevance, but this name is used for one of the pre-made characters on the Sims, "Gunther Goth".

This is the spelling Wagner uses for the Burgundian king in the Ring cycle, and the one I've seen in most sources about the Nibelungenlied. Gunther is actually the original spelling of the name, and the form with the umlaut originated in the Middle Ages (and then got extremely popular in Germany in the 20s-30s), so this spelling is probably the most accurate one for the Burgundian king.

The name Gunther seems very grey in my opinion, but it is still a stand-out name.

I really like the German ending of this tough, strong name.
