Heinrich

Nice name. I think of the poet Heinrich Heine and also of the Holy Roman Emperors with this name. I'd actually forgotten about Himmler, because in historical contexts, he's usually just Himmler and not Heinrich. It's not the same for the name Adolf, as AH was commonly referred to in many instances as simply Adolf, so I would understand feeling differently about the name Adolf. This isn't the same thing here, though. Again, Himmler was mostly just Himmler and not Heinrich. You will always find a negative association with anything if you look for it. I don't see anything wrong with this name.

I love this name and I prefer it over Henry. I like the soft pronunciation of the name and the fact that it's German and not overly popular nowadays.

I don't associate it with Himmeler but rather with Germany and Heinrich Heine and I also think this name is very German. I don't think we should stop using this name just because of Himmler but rather use it as a way to reclaim the name because it's a shame that this name is associated with a pathetic nazi and not the great poet Heinrich Heine.

What a strong, handsome name! I can definitely see it on a man of every age. Who cares about Himmler, he hasn't ruined this name for me. Every name has a famous bearer who isn't a cool person, but it still doesn't mean the name itself is unusable.

Heinrich is a great name. Even though it was the name of the most evil and brutal Nazi leader to ever exist, it is still an amazing name, as well as it has many more versions like Henry or Henrik, which are used around the world to this day. Great name with an awesome meaning and great history, definitely a strong and amazing name!
