Ingrid

So, a common misconception of the name Ingrid is that it means "Ing's beauty", or "Ing is beautiful" and that Ing is nothing, however, that's not the case. Ing was a Nordic godess of an unnkown origin, which I think contributes even further to the beauty of the name. The definition isn't silly in any way.

I've heard that Ingrid means "the daughter of the hero" :)

I've heard that the name Ingrid means "hero's daughter". I can't gaurantee that I'm right though.
