To the person above: no. Yon-iss? No. Maybe we have different accents, which can mess with spelling out pronunciations, but this name is pronounced like Yoh-ah-nis. The y is semi silent.

Ioannis "Giannis" Fetfatzidis is a Greek professional footballer who plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli and the Greek national team. Primarily a winger, Fetfatzidis is a mazy dribbler with excellent ball control. His incisiveness is also aided by his impressive pace, which helps him beat opponents.

Ioannis Theotokis was a Greek politician. He was born in Athens 1880, he was the son of Georgios Theotokis.

He was elected a member of the Hellenic Parliament seven times and served as Minister for Agriculture three times, before being shortly Prime Minister of a caretaker government in 1950. He died in Corfu in 1961.
