Also a Dutch variant of Izaäk: https://nvb.meertens.knaw.nl/populariteit/naam/Izaak
In Polish most people would pronounce Izaak as three-syllabic ee-ZA-ak. It's not used as a name often but Catholicism is unavoidable here and I've never heard Izaak pronounced as disyllabic in biblical context or in science classes where we learn about ee-ZA-ak Newton.
Personally I prefer the name Izaak spelled like this, it just looks better to me. I really like the meaning, too!
In Polish, it's pronounced "EE-zak", not "ee-ZAK".
This spelling is also used in Germany and the Netherlands.
The correct writing is "Isaak", with "s" instead of the "z". However, the pronunciation is like "EEza-ak". [noted -ed]
