Comments for KAISA:

Name of a witch's male daemon in Phillip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" triology. Although personally I think the name is better suited for females.

The name is not only used in Finland, but also in Estonia. I am one of its bearers (a girl) and I have not heard of it being a male name. [noted -ed]

I really like this name, but it does make me think of 'kaiser' being said in a slang-ish tone/rap. I still think it's a nice name, though.

I really like this name, very pretty, and it's close to my original character's name, Kaira, which is not listed on this site.

I think Kaisa is both cool and pretty, and it sounds icy, cold, mysterious and beautiful, like the Snow Queen. Kaisa is the closest BtN has to my favourite spelling of the name, Caisa. I do like this spelling as well, but it makes me think of the word "Kaiser". (But then again, if I lived in Finland or Estonia instead of Ireland, I'd probably think differently.) With any spelling, it is a very elegant and pretty name. To me, it sounds very modern, like Kyra.

Pronounced KIE-sah ("ai" is pronounced like the word eye).
