Kree

Variant of Cree.

Usage of the name may be in reference to the fictional alien race. In the Marvel comics universe, the Kree are a scientifically and technologically advanced militaristic alien race native to the planet Hala in the Large Magellanic Cloud. They are sometimes allies to the X-Men and Avengers of earth. Notable Kree and Kree-hybrids include Captain Atlas (Att-Lass), Korath the Pursuer (Korath-Thak), Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell), Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers, formerly Ms Marvel), Doctor Minerva (Minn-Erva), Noh-Varr (Marvel Boy), Ronan the Accuser, Supreme Intelligence, Zarek, Teddy Altman (Hulking/Dorrek VIII), Genis-Vell (Captain Marvel/Photon), Phyla-Vell (Quasar), and Ultra Girl (Suzanna Sherman/Tzu-Zana).

A noted bearer is American musician Kree Harrison (b.1990), best known as a runner-up on the twelfth season of the television reality series 'American Idol'.
