As of 2024, US Census Bureau and Social Security Administration data shows that Kyle is given to males at a 97% rate. The threshold for a unisex name as defined by the Administration is an under 95% rate of giving a name to a single gender.
Kyle is also used as a feminine given name in English. However, it's more common for males. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be updated from "Masculine" to "Masculine & Feminine".Sources: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyle_(given_name)

My name is Kyle and I think it could go both ways between male and female.
I am a female born in 70. My name is Kyle, middle name Kim. I sometimes go by Kylie. Or Kim. And sometimes people make off comments about it being a boy's name. Most people say they love Kyle on a girl. I don't really care what anyone thinks. But for those that are really mean about it, I respond that only narrow minded people can't appreciate the name on a girl. Or they say, my grandson's name is Kyle as they laugh. I respond, well, your grandson has a girl's name. That shuts them up.
I once worked in the same office as a woman named Kyle. I met her because I received a package for her and told the delivery person, "I'll call him and let him know," and he corrected me, "Actually, it's 'her'." Later she came up to collect her package and that's how I found out Kyle is a unisex name!
Kyle can also be use as feminine, not just masculine, making it unisex.
In 2018, 20 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Kyle who is registered male with the Social Security Administration. It is the 110th most common male first name for living U.S. citizens. In 2018, 23 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Kyle who is registered female with the Social Security Administration. It is the 2, 366th most common female first name for living U.S. citizens.
Kyle is a male name only. Sure there are ignorant Americans, culturally appropriating Scottish and Gaelic names like usual, but in the rest of the civilized world, it's solely a boy's name. It's a horrible name for a girl.
The name Kyle was given to 60 girls born in the US in 2015.
Okay, I know a girl named KYLE. Is that really rare?
It can be a girl's name too! My snowboard coach's daughter who looks scarily like me is named Kyle. Though, personally, I like it better for a boy. I've known some very odd but generally sweet boys named Kyle.
