Lis Yellow is the main character in Living With the Wild Ones, my favorite book. She is a 17 year old who lives in the Amazon with her scientist parents and befriends an orphaned jaguar cub.

Lis is also the short short form of Melissa, Alyssa & Lissa. And it happens to be one of my nicknames.

I like this name. I like the name Lisel and stuff like that but it's too old fashioned and well known. I like Lis because it means Lily in French and it's short and pretty. Yes, a lovely name.
