Are you sure this isn't an invented name (by G.R.R. Martin for "Game of Thrones")?He wrote a character called Lyanna back in 1996. I don't think it was used much before that, if at all.In France Lyana and Lyanna are pronounced differently. I have only seen Lyana in France as lee-ah-na and Lyanna as lee-uhn-na.But Lyanna (Game of Thrones) is lie-ann-a. And the usage seems to be entirely tied to the series in both France and the US. [noted -ed]
This name became popular after it was used for a character in the book and TV series "Game of Thrones".Lyanna was one of the fastest rising names for girls in 2019.
I don’t care for this spelling. Liana is pretty.
