Mikaela is pronounced as "mee-kah-EH-lah".

Well, my nane is Mikaela, and I pronounce it Ma-kay-la, but then again, I'm American, and am probably pronouncing it wrong.

I think Ylva is refering to the Scandinavian pronunciation of the name since the name is Scandinavian. Now of course all languages have their own spelling of names so ma-kay-la does not have to be wrong.
