Meaning & History

From a combination of 光 (mitsu) meaning "light; ray, beam, glow" and 風 (kaze) meaning "wind," used as the formal adulthood name for Hazama Shinrokurō (間 新六郎) (1680-1703), one of the forty-seven rōnin.

This name is very rarely used.
