KovachMD the user who commented something in 2015, since you named your daughter that, then she must be very unlucky. She’s gonna grow up in life with a very beautiful name that’s so uncommon, unique, and underused as an elegant, strong woman who will marry a handsome charming rich man and have an awesome successful life. She wouldn’t worry about running into so many people with the same name as her. I tend to think this name is masculine but it is cute as a feminine name too! So unisex it is! So happy for you guys:)

It's a very handsome name, but a bit too cumbersomely formal, so you'd have to go with 'Monty' (which is perfect for a pet- this is my cat's name!).

I actually like this name, but I would never punish my kid by naming him Montgomery. It's just too pretentious. I hate when people pronounce it Mont-gum-ree. It's Mont-gum-er-ree! I hate the nickname Monty too, I prefer Emery.

Old-fashioned, pompous, pretentious, elitist, and it reminds me of Mr. Burns on the Simpsons. The nickname Monty is even worse.

A person could be pretentious, but not a genuine name with history.

I dislike any nickname for this, but like it as a whole.
