Oh no Scandinavia. You tried your hardest, but I can't get over "mort-". It means varying things about death in latin, and all romance languages. Actually "mort" only means "death" in French, "mort" is only the root word. "Mortem" in Latin (which sounds VERY close to the actual name), "morte" in Italian and Portuguese, "muerte" in Spanish, and "moarte" in Romanian. So yeah, I guess I'll stick with Martin or a different variant. So I wouldn't recommend this name near romantic language countries, or near linguists.
