This name is a unique Persian name not Iranian. Not many people in Iran are named this. It means pearl and it has been around since the Arians arrived in our land 5,000 years ago!

Speaking as a fellow Iranian, morvaridjuun, you probably know that the terms 'Iranian' and 'Persian' are used interchangeably. Iran means "Land of the Aryans/Arians". Just so people aren't confused--it is a Persian/Iranian name, as Persia and Iran are the same country.

Morvarid, meaning pearl - there MUST be a link to Margaret, meaning pearl? It seems so obvious.

Pronounced (Mor)(var)(rid)
These syllables would be pronounced as: (More)(var -- the "ar" sounds like the English word "are")(read)
