It’s a pretty name pronounced Mee HI luh or Muh HI luh. I agree that in English speaking countries the name would be looked upon as a creative spelling of Michaela or Mikayla.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of American parents don't know that this is a Ukrainian name and think that it's another way to spell Michaela. I like this as a Ukrainian name, but not as an English one.

Unfortunately, in English-speaking countries, this would probably be pronounced like Mikaela, which isn't as nice sounding as "mee-hai-la".

This name is not pronounced with a hard K sound, but a hard H sound (almost like a softer German "ch").

I am surprised no one has commented yet! This name is actually very pretty in my opinion, but I would spell it Mykaela. :)
