Not one of my favorite names but I did know a girl many years ago with this name. She was a very lively, energetic girl with a great sense of humor.

Nerissa reminds me a lot of Melissa, which I also like but find it to be very overused.

I like this name, but I think it feels a bit over the top. I think that the name Nerisse is much prettier, or even Nerise.

An alternate spelling, Narissa, was borne by the evil queen stepmother in the 2007 Disney film, Enchanted.

I have a best friend called Narissa. And NO the Disney film Enchanted did NOT make up the new spelling. Narissa is 11 years old, much older than the film.

Disney aren't the type of place that makes up name spellings, they may find it from somewhere or even the producer's or writer's daughter could be called Narissa.

I really like this name, I think it has a really charming meaning ("sea nymph"), it's great; it brings to mind a spritely little mischievous girl. :)

How could you not love this name? The meaning is so cute (Sea Nymph). It sounds cute, and will age well! Just rolls off of your tongue.

Just saw the Merchant of Venice in theater (after reading it in high school) and this name stuck with me. It's delicate and pretty.

That is my name. I love that my mother named me this, it is a unique (like me), and I am very proud to have it. My mother just wanted to me to have a different name and I am so happy she did.
