Nila is such a pretty name. I have seen it spelled Nyla and Nylah as well. I like the spelling Nyla. I also have seen it as an English form of Niles which means champion.

Hi, I'm of the Hindu race. I personally have no idea why this name is so popular because the colour for Hinduism is red. Maybe this name symbolises water. But never the less a beautiful name.

The lead female character from the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift's name is Nila. She's a good character, so I feel like it's a good name.

The name itself is not bad, but the first time I encountered the name I thought of Nilla wafers.
