Comments for the name Ove

Very classically Scandinavian.

There are a small number of people in the United States who have named their children "Ovie." It's possible that this is a related name, though it could stem from Overton instead. I've seen websites which say both.

My grandmother's name is Ovie; she was born around 1916/17 in Arkansas.
