User comments for Pippa (Famous Bearer Only)

Pippa Cross is the name of a beautiful character in Libba Bray's A Great and Terrible Beauty. Pippa is vain and empty headed, but I like the name anyway.

I only know the name from A Great And Terrible Beauty (mentioned above) and its sequal, Rebel Angels. I don't think that the character is completely vain or completely empty headed. She's actually quite a confusing character and is made more so in the sequel. Really, I don't know what to think of the name or the character, though I suppose it could be cute for a little girl.

In the 1980s on the tv sitcom "The Facts of Life" there was a character from Australia named Pippa McKenna, played by Sherrie Krenn. Having grown up watching that show, the name Pippa seems very "Australian" to me. :b
