The name Rani also is a title for the Hindu Goddess Radha, consort of Krishna, or Syama. Radha, otherwise called Radhika, Vrshabanu Nandini (daughter of Vrshabanu) or Radharani, is a goddess known for her qualities of beauty and love. She is a princess, daughter of King Vrshabanu, and the only queen who could conquer Krishna's heart with a simple glance. I gathered this knowledge from Indian literature I've read such as "KRSNA," and the "Venu-Gita."
