Comments for the name Renatus

I like the feminine form of this name, because it sounds melodious and Latin, as in the Romance languages. I don't like the masculine form because it's too Latin, as in it sounds like it belongs to a Roman centurion or something. Would you name your kid Maximus or Claudius?

I once read that the meaning of this name, born again, refers to the act of baptism.
