Roxie Dean is an American country music songwriter and singer. In 2005, she released her debut album, Ms. America. Her songwriting career includes a 2001 Nashville Songwriters Association International "Top 10 Songs That You Wish You’d Written" award for "Why They Call It Falling" (co-written with Don Schlitz), and a Grammy nomination for co-writing "When I Think About Angels."
Roxie Collie Laybourne (1910 – 2003) was an American ornithologist. She pioneered the study of forensic ornithology while at the National Museum of Natural History; these forensic techniques for identifying species of birds involved in bird strikes led to aircraft safety improvements.
A famous bearer was American actress Roxie Roker (August 28, 1929–December 2, 1995). She was best known for her role as Helen Willis on the popular sitcom "The Jeffersons" (1975-1985). She also had several guest roles on many American TV shows in the 1970s through the 1990s.
