"Muzio Scevola" is a Baroque-period three-act opera. The Italian libretto was written by Paolo Antonio Rolli, who adapted it from a text by Silvio Stampiglia.

Scevola Mariotti was an italian latinist, best known for co-writing the Latin dictionary "IL" with Luigi Castiglioni.
