Sky is also Dutch, derived from the English and Norse vocabulary word, used for both genders in the Netherlands. The popularity chart for the Netherlands should be a further indicator of that. Sky can also be used as a short form of Skyla, Skylar, Skyler, Schuyler, etc. :D.

My almost 6 year old son is named Sky, and when I was pregnant, people would say "What are you going to name him?" I would say, "Sky," and they would then offer their un-asked-for opinion, "You can't be serious! That sounds like a Hippie name!" Well, I was serious, and I still love the name. It fits him well and was easy for him to learn to write. ;) Ha ha.
