Just because I am nitpicky -- spasen is a past participle, not a noun. It means "saved." [noted -ed]

When I read the name Spas, I automatically imagine this introduction: "Hello, I'm Spas, who are you?" "You're a spazz? Well, that's nice to know." "No, my name is Spas." "Spazz?" "SPAS!" "Wow, you are a spazz!" I'm sorry, but I would have difficulty not laughing if I ever met someone with this name.

When I meet people, the first thing I ask them is always if they are "spas". Especially if they are stupid Bulgarians who don't use normal names. Like McKynzzie, Maddysin or Navveah.
