Transferred use of the surname Stockton.A notable bearer of this name is the American businessman Stockton Rush (1962-2023), who was the co-founder of the American submersible company OceanGate. He served as its CEO until his untimely death in the Titan, one of the company's submersibles. It imploded whilst it was on its way to the shipwreck of the RMS Titanic in the North Atlantic Ocean.
