Meaning: Means "bull" in Latin. Taurus is one of the Twelve Constellations of the Zodiac. In Greek mythology, Taurus was identified with Zeus, who assumed the form of a magnificent white bull to abduct Europa, a legendary Phoenician princess. In alternative the bull was Io, another mistress of Zeus changed into the form of a heifer by Zeus in order to hide her from his wife Hera. These are the most famous references but the mythology tied with that constellation is much more ancient, as all the Zodiac.
